Comedian Louis C. K. spoke right to the core of me when he ranted about this in his special, Live at the Beacon Theatre.
If there ever were gods (not likely,) and those gods gave life to the universe and our Earth, the wondrous, floating orb where we reside, they would be outraged that we have done such terrific damage to their magnificent creation. I feel the same way, "What the f*ck...?"
This planet naturally provides us with all that we need to survive and allows us to live a blessed, beautiful existence. I am here to make the best of it; to consume less and create more, to reduce my impact on the planet and, instead, allow it to flourish and bloom, the way it was meant to, and to bathe in the beauty of our world and have a damned good time during my stay on Earth. Join me, won't you?
I'm considering including a bit of thankfulness with each post I publish. Today I am thankful for the rain, for without it, there would be nothing. It would likely also be hot as f*ck, seeing as it's June now, and 'Summer is coming.' (Yeah, I made a vague Game of Thrones reference. Say somethin'.)
